เตือน! Saurik บอกว่าอย่าไปใช้ Mobile Substrate Fix เพราะมันจะทำให้มีปัญหา!!

ตั้งแต่ iOS 7 ออกมา MobileSubstrate ซึ่งเหมือนเครื่องยนต์สำหรับหลายๆ Tweak นั้นยังทำงานได้ไม่สมบูรณ์ดีนัก แต่หลายๆ คนอาจจะได้ลองใช้ MobileSubstrate Fix กันไปแล้วนะครับ แน่นอนว่ามันได้ผลจริงๆ แต่ล่าสุด Saruik ได้ออกมาเตือนผู้ใช้งานให้อย่าไปใช้งานมัน เพราะมันจะมีปัญหาครับ

Saurik ได้ใช้พื้นที่ใน Reddit เพื่ออธิบายเกี่ยวกับ MobileSubstrate Fix ไว้ดังนี้ครับ

This is horribly dangerous: MSHookFunction is not designed to be used on functions that might actively be running; this makes Substrate get injected into launchd while launchd is loading launch daemons… no one should install this; it doesn’t even solve the problem remotely correctly for anything but SpringBoard/backboardd, and will end up leaving you with Substrate having been randomly applied to different background processes.

อย่างไรก็ตาม evasi0n 1.0.1 หรือ Untethered Package 0.2 ของ evad3rs ก็ได้แก้เรื่อง MobileSubstrate ไปแล้วบ้าง อย่างไรก็ตาม Saurik ยังย้ำว่า เพื่อไม่ให้เกิดปัญหากับอุปกรณ์ ควรจะรออีกสักนิด สำหรับการอัพเดทของ MobileSubstrate
