เมื่อเช้านี้ทาง Apple ได้ออกอัปเดต iPhone OS 3.1.2 โดยรายละเอียดของการแก้บัคที่ออกมาค่อนข้างที่จะน้อย หรือหลายคนก็อาจจะเข้าใจไปว่า iPhone OS 3.1.2 ออกมาเพื่อป้องการการ Jailbreak อีกก็เป็นได้ รายละเอียดของทางอัปเดต iPhone OS 3.1.2 มีดังนี้
- Fixes an intermittent issue where iPhones may not wake from sleep (some users called this coma mode.
- Fixed an intermittent issue that could interfere with cellular network services and require a restart
- Fixed a bug that could cause a crash while streaming video.
จากนั้นที่ฝั่งของ Dev team ได้ออกประกาศเตือนเช่นกันโดยประกาศผ่านทางเว็บบล็อคของ Dev Team เนื้่อหาดังนี้
WARNING! At 10.20AM PDT on October 8th 2009 Apple released the 3.1.2 version (7D11) of the iPhoneOS.
If you care about your jailbreak and unlock, don’t update your device – 3G and 3G(S) owners should pay particular attention to this warning.
สรุปความได้ว่า หากท่านต้องการที่จะ Jailbreak และ Unlock กรุณาอย่าอัปเดตเครื่อง 3G, 3GS ไปเป็น 3.1.2 และกรุณาให้ความสำคัญกับการเตือนนี้ด้วย
อีกฟากหนึ่งจาก Geohot ได้ประกาศออกมาเช่นกันว่า Blackra1n ของเขาไม่มีปัญหากับการ Jailbreak os 3.1.2
ส่วนสุดท้ายคือจาก AppuloHa1l บอกว่าเครื่องมือจากทีมเขาก็ไม่มีปัญหากับ iPhone OS 3.1.2 ตัวนี้เช่นกัน

แนะนำว่าทั้งเครื่อง lock และ unlock อย่าเพิ่งอัปเดตนะครับ เราอาจจะมองว่าทำไม Dev team ทำงานช้าจังทำไมไม่ปล่อย redsn0w สักที คือว่า dev team หนะทำงานแบบว่าเน้นความชัวร์ครับ ไงเราก็ฟังๆที่เขาเตือนไว้ก่อนแล้วกันนะครับ อีกอย่างหากว่าท่านไม่แน่ใจหรือว่าไม่มีข้อมูลที่เพียงพอก็อย่าเพิ่งทำอะไรกับ iPhone แล้วกันนะ ขอให้มีคนทดลองทำแล้วได้ก่อน เดี๋ยวจะมีคนบอกเองครับไม่ต้องใจร้อนครับ
