เมื่อ Apple ขึ้นป้ายแขวนหน้าบ้านเอาไว้ชัดเลยว่า “iPhone จะไม่อนุญาติให้มี Web Browser ของค่ายอื่นรันบนเครื่องเราแน่” นั่นก็เป็นคำตอบว่าทำไมเราถึงได้ใช้แค่ Safari บนไอโฟน แต่วันนี้เองมีผู้ท้าทายอำนาจของศาสดา ส่งผู้ท้าชิงเข้าไปที่สังเวียน(AppStore) เพื่อรอการพิภากษาว่าจะผ่านหรือไม่ อันนี้เป็นสิ่งที่น่าติดตามอย่างมาก ก่อนอื่นเรามาทำความรู้กันผู้ท้าชิงก่อนในนาม Opera Mini 5

Opera เป็นอีกค่ายที่มีเว็บบราวเซอร์ที่มีคุณภาพสูง เน้นการออกแบบที่เรียบง่าย มีความรวดเร็วในการใช้งานตามคอนเซ็บ “Browse more, wait less” หรือดูได้มากกว่าแต่รอน้อยกว่า ทาง Opera ได้ทำเว็บบราวเซอร์ออกมาใช้ทั้งคอมพิวเตอร์และมือถือ ซึ่งก่อนหน้าผมเคยใช้งานบนมือถือโนเกียที่เป็นระบบซิมเบียน ซึ่งพบว่าความเร็วโอเคเลยแหละ

เท่าที่ทราบตอนนี้ทั้ง Android, BB เองก็ลงมาให้เห็นบ้างแล้ว ขาดแต่ก็น้อง iPhone นี่แหละที่ยังไม่มีกับเขา งานนี้ทาง Opera ก็เลยจัดให้ โดยการทำ Opera Mini 5 สำหรับ iPhone ตอนนี้เสร็จเรียบร้อยแล้วและอยู่ระหว่างการอนุมัติจาก Apple ว่าจะสามารถให้ดาวน์โหลดผ่านทาง AppStore ได้หรือไม่

ถ้าหากไม่ผ่านทาง Apple(Google เคยโดนมาแล้ว) แน่นอนว่าเราก็คงจะได้เห็น Opera Mini 5 ได้โลดแล่นบน Cydia ก็เป็นได้

ทั้งนี้ทาง Opera ได้โพสวีดีโอเอาไว้เปรียบเทียบให้เห็นความเร็วและประสิทธิภาพการทำงานที่แตกต่างเมื่อเทียบกับ Safari มาให้ได้ชมกัน ยิ่งเห็นแบบนี้แล้วยิ่งอดใจไม่ไหวอยากใช้มากๆเลย ขนาดว่ารันบนเครือข่าย EDGE นะยังปี๊ดขนาดนี้ ถ้า 3G, Wifi จะขนาดไหน อดใจไม่ไหวแว้วๆๆๆๆๆ

    แล้ว apple จะยอมให้ web browser ที่ดีกว่าของตัวเองออกมาหรอออ

    • นั่นก็เป็นสิ่งที่หลายคนอยากทราบคำตอบ
      ถ้าให้ผ่านก็จะทำให้ผู้ใช้ใช้งานไอโฟนดีขึ้นหรือประทับใจขึ้น ถ้าไม่ผ่านยังไงซะก็ต้องมีที่ cydia ผมว่านะ 555

  7. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
